Sunbula "Susu" Aranki

Sunbula is the word for "wheat" in Arabic. In the Middle East and Mediterranean region, wheat is the symbol of "life". So it comes as no surprise that Sunbula "Susu" Aranki has dedicated her own life to nourishing the lives of the people around her.

After spending nearly 2 decades as a social worker dedicated to helping improve the lives of a wide variety of populations from the elderly to the disabled, she has particularly enjoyed the immediate warmth and genuine joy on someone's face when they have filled their stomach with her delicious food.

Over the years, she has worked alongside her mom and aunts and cousins and pops and more aunts and more cousins and more moms, all of whom have helped perfect the art of Mediterranean cooking, and she is bringing that joy and warmth and knowledge with her here to help satiate Central Oregon tummies!

In addition to private parties and events, she currently serves as a caterer for Paca Picnics - The Original Alpaca Picnic Experience. Yes, picnics...with alpacas...
